Boulder – Progressive Democrats of America have endorsed Mark Williams in the race to represent the people of Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District.
“This just shows that our message is being heard and we have momentum on our side,” stated Mark Williams, Air Force fighter pilot, combat veteran, small businessman and CD2 Democratic congressional candidate. “Our message of a party and government controlled by citizens, not corporate elites – with policies that serve the broad public interest, not just private interests – is resonating!”
“We are seeing Letters-to-the-Editors, Meet & Greets and new events being scheduled all over the district,” continued Williams, “endorsing our race to give power back to the people.”
Progressive Democrats of America was founded in 2004 to transform the Democratic Party and the country. Included in the first gathering of a thousand activists in Roxbury, Massachusetts, were people from the campaigns of Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich.
On their website, PDA states that they are, “…guided by the progressive vision of a renewed nation, fully integrated into the community of nations and peoples, respectful of the rule of law at home and abroad and committed to the universal values of human dignity, justice and respect and stewardship of the planet on which we live.”
